The trip began with an 8 hour overnight flight from Philadelphia to Paris. We arrived in Paris at 7 am. We were all exhausted and drove for an hour to our hostel. On the bus we were given traditional croissants. Once we put our luggage away we learned how to ride on the Metro.
We took Metro to Charles de Gaulle Etoile to see the Arc de Triomph. We also were given time to explore the Champs-Éysées. Next we headed back to fully unload our luggage and catch up on some lost sleep. To end the day, we visited Montmartre and saw a much different side of the culture along with the beautiful Paris skyline. Lastly we ended with a dinner where we decompressed from the day’s events.
