Today we went to the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History. The floor levels correspond with the time periods of important events in Jewish history. The higher levels are farther back in time, while the lower levels are more modern. Our favorite level was the fourth level because of its interactive exhibits. Throughout the exhibits, there were short clips of songs, movies, interviews; historical documents; images; clothing; and so much more! We highly recommend that people visit this museum.
After we visited the museum, we walked to the popular Jewish deli called the Famous 4th Street Delicatessen. Their menu featured many traditional Jewish dishes including chocolate babka, kreplach, matzo ball soup, and challah. We enjoyed our delicious meal with their very large portions.
