On this flight, most of us slept, but we were able to see the Northern Lights on one side of the plane.
In the morning, we arrived at Hartman Hall at 9:30 a.m. Our bus left at 10 and after a 2-hour bus ride, we got to JFK, checked our bags and waited until our flight boarded at 3 p.m. During this wait, we got food at a variety of places such as McDonalds and the Melt Shop.
The first plane ride was 6 hours from JFK to Seattle. To pass the time on the plane, we watched movies, March Madness, and played games on the monitor.
We got to Seattle at 7:15 p.m. PST, grabbed some dinner and promptly boarded our next flight to Fairbanks at 8:40 PST. On this flight, most of us slept, but we were able to see the Northern Lights on one side of the plane. We landed in Fairbanks at around 12:00 a.m. PST, and we collected our bags and are heading to our hotel. Our group is looking forward to our activities that we have planned for the week such as curling tomorrow and dog sledding.
