Today, we visited the Pig Iron Theatre in Philadelphia. It’s a school that teaches students acting and directing, but it’s also open to the general public, like our class field trip. They taught us a lot about body language and how people can present themselves to show off their personalities; we got to apply this to our skits later. We even got to take this a step further and use it when acting out animals. We learned how to switch emotions in a matter of seconds and how to make it look natural. To wrap this exciting experience up, we got to split into two different groups and write our own skits. The skits were to demonstrate our understanding of what we were taught today and also to show a change of power and how we could act it out. Overall, our class had an amazing day, and we all grew closer together as a group.
