Today at 9:00 am, we boarded the bus for our trip to the Franklin Institute Museum in Philadelphia. The museum has recently opened an exhibit to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company, and for our last trip of the week, we decided to visit. The exhibit displayed various different interactive videos perfectly showing how Disney has evolved and spread throughout the world. The exhibit also had a lot of props and costumes from Disney movies, as well as original art and animations. In the rest of the museum, we explored concepts that we learned in school such as velocity and force in Sir Isaac’s Loft and brain health in the “Your Brain” exhibit. Some students watched an informative display of planets in the planetarium followed by a stop at the Eatery for lunch, where there were many food choices. The gift shop in the museum had an interesting assortment of toys and souvenirs to buy, such as a brain-shaped squishy toy one student bought! Overall, we enjoyed the Disney 100 exhibit as well as the entire museum, and we hope to return for any future exhibits that may be added.
