Today in Arts and Entertainment, we went to Gradwell House Recording Studio in Haddon Heights, NJ. We took a tour of the facility, and while it is small, they have a lot of possibilities in every room. All of the rooms are connected and you can record from almost anywhere in the building. The studio has had many notable artists as well as Grammy-nominated albums that have been through the studio. They were even getting ready to work on a project with a member of Boyz II Men after our recording sessions!
Throughout the week, we’ve been working in small groups to prepare songs to record. Multiple groups recorded different vocal tracks, with singing, rapping, ad libs, and Khadijah even recorded saxophone for one of the tracks! One group even made an Intensive Learning themed track saying how Arts and Entertainment was the best of all IL groups. After our recording session, we headed to a small restaurant called Ralph’s in Haddon Heights and had a great lunch. After eating lunch, we went to grab a bite of dessert at a candy/soft serve ice cream place. It was very, very delicious. This was a great end to our week in Arts and Entertainment. We can’t wait to hear the final recording projects after they have been mixed and edited.
