We started off our day bright and early at 2 a.m. when we had to meet at MFS. Our bus took us to the Philly airport where we had our first flight to Miami at 6:10 a.m. When we arrived in Miami we had around three hours till our flight to Belize, so we walked around and ate food. When it was finally time for our flight to leave, the rain started to come down in Miami and our flight got delayed. By the time we took off the flight had been delayed for almost two hours. The takeoff through the wind and rain was rocky, and we experienced some rough turbulence throughout flight, and the landing was also a little rocky.
Once we got off the plane we were met with a hot 90° temperature at the Belize airport. Once we got into the airport we made our way swiftly through customs and made our way to meet Jake, our tour guide for the trip. He then took us to the bus, and we went to a grocery store to get bottled water and different snacks for the next couple of days. After getting water and snacks we then headed to our hotel where we will be staying for the next two days.
Once we arrived, we went straight to the pool to cool off and enjoyed the sun and warm water.
After the pool, we went back to our rooms to relax and get ready for our dinner.
Had some time after dinner to hang out for those who somehow had some energy left after a long day of travel!
