Our fourth day of Chinese Culture IL started with a taiji session. At 9:20, we went into the Blue Gym and learned about the uses of taiji, which helps blood flow, increases energy, and helps build muscle strength. After that, we practiced taiji and found that it requires consistency, balance, and flexibility.
At around 11, we came back to the classroom and a licensed acupuncturist taught us about traditional Chinese medicine. Herbs, cupping, and acupuncture are all a part of it. Then, we had a chance to try out acupuncture and cupping which were new and interesting experience for most of the group.
We ended at 12:30 and ate wraps for lunch. We then went to get ice cream and came back to the class at 1:15.
We finished up the day by watching videos about Chinese cuisine and planning for our shopping trip tomorrow. We will use what we will buy shopping to make Chinese food on Friday.
