Today in Cultural Exploration Through Food, we visited Reading Terminal Market. As we wandered through the vibrant market, we sampled a variety of dishes representing different cultures and styles of cooking. After exploring and picking up some unique trinkets, we headed to Bai Wei, a Chinese restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious scallion pancakes, dim sum, and refreshing passion fruit drinks, just to name a few highlights.
Next, we indulged in boba tea before heading to a Sanrio store in Chinatown. After that, we took a bus to a nearby supermarket, where many picked up ingredients for tomorrow’s feast. Finally, we returned to school, spent the rest of the day relaxing in our classroom, and reflected on the cultural journey we experienced.
