Today was quite an eventful day! We learned how to tie different kinds of knots. We learned the bowline knot, the rolling pitch, and highwayman’s knot. With our new knowledge of knot tying, we hung up the blocks with rope so we could varnish them.
We also moved picnic tables.
While others were working on the blocks, a squad of us went on the dock to add another coat of penetrol to the boom as well as to sand some other blocks. After we wrapped up sanding we learned a few more knots before we went to eat lunch. On our voyage home there was a beeping sound on the bus and we couldn’t find the source, but after some searching we found it was the emergency exit and got the beeping under control.
Even though today was really cold it was a great day and we’re excited for what tomorrow has to bring!!
