Today our group got to know each other through community building games. We had fun working on non-verbal communication skills such as eye contact and sharing stories from our lives. Then the students broke into their assigned groups and did research on the various communities we will be visiting in Philadelphia next week.
After lunch uptown, we watched “The Danger of a Single Story” and discussed how culture impacts identity. We ended the day by sharing stories and traditions from our own cultures. We are looking forward to our adventures next week.
