On Monday, for Intensive Learning, we went to the Franklin Institute to tour their new exhibit, called “Body Worlds.” Before we got there, I had been looking forward to viewing the various anatomy and science displays. “Body Worlds” consisted mainly of human structures dissected in different ways to show the different systems. One system that was explored in depth was the cardiovascular system. Inside, there was a screen where you could move your body, and it would show you where all of the main veins and arteries are. The most memorable display was a large replica of the human heart that made it possible to see all of the chambers and cavities in great detail. Personally, my favorite exhibit was the sports section on the top floor. The different activities and sections made it very entertaining and interactive for all ages. Looking ahead, I am most excited to spend time with my friends at Camp Mason.
