Today started off when we met Alex Van Meter (19) and Abigail Van Meter (14), who showed up to talk to us about handling and showing dogs with their champion English Setter dogs, Juniper and Haley. They are both prize winning Junior Handlers. Alex showed us how to pose the dogs and what was necessary to show dogs. Barb even learned how to stack a dog. This will be great when we go to the Dog Show on Friday. Then we split into two groups: one went to the Animal Adoption Center ( a no kill shelter) and walked and played with the dogs, cleaned the cat room, and played with the cats. We even walked a dog with two different colored eyes. The cats loved being able to go outside. The other group went to the Burlington County Animal Shelter.
