At the end of the school day we left at 4 p.m. for our adventure to Argentina! In preparation for this day, we made norms for our group including, say YES, be grateful, and be willing to take risks! Also, we discussed our itinerary, where we discovered we were doing fun activities like hiking, kayaking, and trying new foods.
We took a two-hour bus ride to JFK International Airport. We checked in, flew through security, and grabbed some dinner. After security, we found out that our plane was delayed by two hours, causing us to board at 11:45 p.m. In order to entertain ourselves, we played some card games and bonded together. Having no technology allowed us to get to connect with one another on a deeper level.
The group is looking forward to the beautiful sceneries and taking lots of photos. In addition, we can’t wait for the warmer weather in Buenos Aires and going on a tour around the city. We are excited to travel with one another without the distraction of our phones, allowing us to live in the moment.
It was a successful start to the trip!
