Today we experimented with more subtle artworks. Instead of the more grandiose works to which we were more accustomed, we toned it down a couple notches. Mr. Webster explained that we should be putting small things in odd places, with hopes that they wouldn’t be found easily, but when they were, it would be something of a special moment for the viewer.
First, we toured the school, all of us keeping an eye out for someplace that might be just subtle enough to be hidden, but well visited enough for our works to be eventually found. It proved to be an excellent challenge which elicited a range of creations in response. Some of us made little silhouettes going up the sides of stairs, while others drew in bricks on concrete surfaces. It was an excellent, artistically stimulating day capped off by a very fun dancing game. It was a good last full day to our adventure.
