We arrived right before the grounds opened at 10 am after a short journey up 295. We checked in to the welcome center and met up with our tour guide, Stan. Stan was incredibly friendly and told us about the history of the grounds and how it used to be the old New Jersey State Fair location. He talked about the differences between 2d painting and 3d sculpture. He also gave us great insight into some of the installations. After the tour, we had about an hour to wander on our own, exploring as much of the 42 acres as we could. We can’t wait to come back and experience the Grounds for Sculpture lit up at night during the Night Forms exhibit!
