Our final day in Morocco is at an end; we began the day by checking out of our hotel in Marrakech and busing to Casablanca. After our 3 hour trek northwest, we arrived at the largest mall in Morocco, aptly named Morocco Mall. Everyone was content with a change in food for lunch, as many of us relished fast food and Starbucks.
After lunch we experienced the highlight of the entire trip, an interior tour of Hassan II mosque along the coast of Casablanca. Every surface of the mosque is embellished with rich detail of carved plaster, colorful mosaic, and cedar wood joinery. The tower is over 900 ft tall, and the approximately 100 foot high roof was retracted to allow a beautiful overcast light into the massive space. We all removed our shoes to walk along the carpet and marble floor just one day a before the king of Morocco is to walk on the same floor.

Tomorrow we fly from Casablanca to JFK and bus back to MFS to wrap up an impressive and beautiful intensive learning. We asked each student to contribute one memorable moment from the trip, and have compiled them here:
This trip has not only been fun, but I have also learned intensively, pamplemoose.
Fun fact: Harry Potter, Lady Gaga, Jackie Chan, Samuel L. Jackson, Serena Williams, Nicki Minaj, and others were all on this trip.

Eating a camel is surprisingly easy once you get past the fact that they are going to haunt your soul.
