Today, our final day at Give Kids The World, we ended our service with two more shifts. After our final morning shift in the cafeteria, our group spent one more relaxing day at the community pool near our condos laying in the strong sunshine and throwing around a football that one of our group members purchased in Disney Springs on Sunday.
Arriving back at the GKTW village at 4:15, we split up and volunteered in various jobs, such as completing café deliveries, driving the cookie cart, working at the Beauty Spa (GKTW’s salon), Stella’s Star Talent Show, and working Amberville’s (GKTW’s arcade) front desk. After finishing our jobs, we headed home for some rest and dinner before our big day tomorrow. It was a bittersweet last day of service because we were so happy to see the families again, but really sad to have to leave them. Overall, it was a lovely day.
