Just as we have done for the past two days, we served breakfast at Cafe Clayton at 7:30 in the morning. We split up into our separate shifts and began serving food at 8:00 a.m. Some of us served food at the hot food bar and waffle makers, while others helped clean tables and dishes. After that, we headed back to the condos for some rest and relaxation; some of us spent some time at the pool. At 4:00 we went over to TGI Fridays and enjoyed a group lunch before heading back to the condos for a 30-minute break.
For our second shift at GKTW we helped out with the Halloween Extravaganza. We were stationed at different tables, where we handed out capes and masks, bags for trick or treating, and helped out with different activities like archery, bean bag toss, and mini golf. We got to meet life-size Legos and the GKTW dog mascots, Remy and Rugby, who the kids were very happy to see. After the party some of us set up posts with cauldrons of candy and buckets of toys for the village trick-or-treaters. We had a lot of fun interacting with the kids and celebrating Halloween with them.
