During the third day of our trip, we arrived at Give Kids the World, where we were assigned three jobs: working at the salon, horse back riding, and The Castle of Dreams. Ben, Alex, and Aami where assigned to the salon, where they painted nails, did hair, and gave tattoos. Willie and Jenaya were at the castle, where the Wish families received their permanent star that will be displayed inside of the castle. Ms. LuBrant, East, Josh, and Lucas were assigned to the horses, which gave therapeutic rides to the families. Finally, Mr. Brunswick was assigned to the Breakfast Cart, which he drove around to the villas for families who needed to stay in for breakfast. We all worked until 11:30 a.m. After finishing the shifts we headed home and hit the pool and had some relaxation time.
When we got back to GKTW later in the day, we were split up again. Josh and Aami were at the castle, Ben, Alex, Lucas, and Mr. Brunswick worked at the cafe, while Lu, Jenaya, Willie, and East were at the Rockin’ Spa Transformation. It was a great day where we continued to meet not only families that live in the US, but also families from Canada, England, Germany, and France.
