Today MFS students in Multicultural Philly joined Chinese Culture to experience Chinatown! Our first stop was Chinese Culture & Arts, where we got to experience traditional Chinese folk instruments. We even got to play some of them! It was enlightening to learn about the long history of China’s culture and arts.
Next, we got to eat at one of Chinatown’s top ten restaurants, EMei! We got to eat and share delicious food with each other, as well as drink tea.
Students were then given time to group up and go shopping, as well as eat, around the rest of Chinatown. Many students got to try Boba and other cool drinks that are popular in Philly, and students also went around to little shops to buy trinkets and baked goods. All in all, a wonderful day in one of Philadelphia’s most culturally rich areas!
