“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page.”
– Saint Augustine
This was the quote our tour guide Massimo read to us to start off our day.

During the four-hour drive from Venice to Florence, we rested, relaxed, and talked while admiring the countryside. As the flat farmlands morphed into rolling hills, we entered the city of Florence. Once we arrived, we were given free time to visit museums, shop, eat, and sightsee. We had many adventures throughout the day. Some highlights were riding on a carousel, shopping for Florence apparel, and getting gelato (obvi). Other groups visited the Duomo, the Museo Galileo, and the Ponte Vecchio. We ended our day with an authentic pizza dinner with tiramisu for dessert and made our way to the new hotel to spend the night.
