We had a great time today at the Al Aqsa Islamic Society and Academy in Philadelphia, where we had a Muslim Faith Encounter. We had a tour of the high school and the elementary school with Abdur Rahman, the principal of Al Aqsa Academy, and the students. He then took us to their shop and fed us. We then read scriptures from the Qur’an. Then we went to the workshop called “Replacing Hate w/ Understanding.” Our instructor Andrew taught us about racial profiling and how it causes problems in places like Philadelphia.
