Today, Service in Camden traveled to the South Jersey Food Bank to sort, pack, and ship food donated from a variety of sources. Here is what we did today:
Sasha and Jess worked on packing make-up into care packages for Mother’s Day.
Adam and Kieran helped sort frozen goods (outside of the freezer, luckily).
As you can see, there was a ton of make-up to sort.
Hannah labels boxes so that the receivers will know what is inside. We labeled all different kinds of snacks, from cookies and chips to raisins and granola bars.
Our lovely group!
Carly is proud of her carefully assembled make up Mother’s Day gift.
We sorted so much food that we were scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Andrew, Dozier, AJ, and Jordan take a break from picking food to sort.
Alas, the day was not without mishap. Zach, overzealous in his picking, fell into the box of cookies.
