Today is the third day of the Pine Barrens Intensive Learning. We spent the whole day at Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford, NJ. There we learned about the multitude of animals that live in the Pines from: turtles, snakes, owls, hawks, crows, deer, and a raccoon. Some of the animals were even albino or partially albino, but all of those animals were located in the refuge center. After learning about some of the animals we embarked on a hike to learn about the different areas of the Pine Barrens and what is unique to them. After our hike our instructor, Erin, showed us all the animals that lived at the refuge center.
We then had lunch and were going to start our service project, but sadly we got stormed out. Instead we stayed inside and did some work for the center. Overall, it was another fun and exciting day in the Pine Barrens.
