What is the Bayshore Experience? For the past week, we have taken the long trip to the Bivalve Learning Center. We have learned about the oyster industry and all of the tasks that need to be done to get the ship, the A.J. Meerwald, up and running for the sailing season. We can now tie various types of knots, paint and seal, and we can scrape like nobody’s business. This has been a valuable learning experience for all of us and has taught us how to work around the docks. Overall it was a great experience and we’re sure that everyone has learned a great deal.
